it is unclear as to in which millennia, the reserve bank of zibika (rbz) was formed. legend has it that many many millenia ago, a committee was setup to guard the collective wealth of the gods. the first board was setup featuring kubera (hindu god of wealth & director), plutus (roman god of wealth & director), dis (greek god of wealth & director), freyr (norse god of wealth & director), dedun (egyptian god of wealth & director), tezcatlipoca (aztec god of wealth & director), daikoku (shinto god of wealth & director), tsai shen yeh (chinese god of wealth) and had abzurd (chairman of the board).

with the formation of the republic, it was considered important to setup zibika's central bank that is responsible for all monetary decisions in the republic. so as a tribute to the first bank, the reserve bank of zibika was reformed in abzurdia and is governed by the executive council as board members and all elected senators as people's representatives on the board. keeping in line with major global corporate governance dictates, abzurd is an independent director on the RBZ's board.

RBZ is the republic's largest and central bank with total assets of ZNR 2,000,453,446.58 trillion (US$ 84,019,044,756.36 trillion) at March 31, 2008 and profit after tax of ZNR 334231.10 trillion for fiscal 2007. the Reserve Bank of Zibika is the most valuable bank in the republic in terms of market capitalization and is ranked first amongst all the companies listed on the zibika stock exchange in terms of quantum float market capitalisation*. the bank operates online and has a checking terminal in every household in the republic thus making the need for ATMs and branches obsolete.

as the RBZ is also custodian of the collective wealth of the gods, it is easy to realise as to why the bank holds such a huge asset base and massive profits. the rbz it is said is solely capable of making fiscal corrections to the republic's economy and controlling all macro economic variables governing it. the concept of inflation has long been forgotten by zibikans and it is said that the word no longer exists in the texts books at learning centres in zibika.
